Our range of Spectre reels are ultra-lightweight, precision CNC machined aluminium reels at an amazing price! The multi-disc cork and stainless steel centre drag, offers superb performance with minimal start-up inertia, while the large arbor design allows faster retrieve, more consistent drag performance and minimal line memory. The stainless steel main spindle coupled with the one-way roller clutch bearing, provides instant drag control when that ‘smash take’ catches you by surprise. The extended range covers all requirements from the smallest brook fishing up to salmon, sea-trout and saltwater. Cassette version
Our popular #5/6 & #7/8 models are now available in a cassette spool version. Built to the same exacting standards as the current reels, but fitted with a precision moulded, polycarbonate cassette spool. Giving the same line capacity as the standard model, this offers the advantage of quick-change, inexpensive and lightweight cassette spools, so favoured by competition fishermen. Geo-S Salmon & Saltwater Fly Reel

2019 saw the return of our amazing Geo-S fly reels – a range of reels, with which the world’s fly fishers could take on the best that the largest rivers and widest oceans could throw at them… and win!

These classy reels feature a precision milled CNC body and spool to reduce weight to the minimum, whilst retaining massive strength. The powerful, multidisc, stacked drag system uses a mix of stainless steel, carbon fibre and cork to deliver a silky-smooth drag performance with near zero start-up inertia. A fine-pitch, detented drag adjustment allows minute increases in drag pressure from zero, to a class leading 6.5kg (14lb) at maximum drag and the whole drag assembly is completely sealed for saltwater use. This ‘stacked drag disc’ system is similar to that used in our original XS reels made by British Fly Reels all those years ago, in that some discs are ‘locked’ and some are free to rotate at their own speed. This not only allows for an ultra-smooth start up when a fish takes, with the drag discs all starting at their own speed, but the multi-surface drag provides a class-leading 46.5cm2 of drag surface area!
